Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
As an individual or as part of your employer's health insurance plan, you can establish a health savings account (HSA) to enjoy tax-advantaged savings and have money to spend on qualified healthcare expenses for you and your family. If you are already a Sterling HSA Accountholder and have registered your account for online access, go to Manage Your Health Savings Account and login. If you haven't registered, go to Register to Access Your Account Online and do it now!
Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs)
If your employer offers a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) as part of your health insurance plan, there are many ways that you, as a participant, can benefit. Unlike a health savings account, you cannot set up an HRA on your own. For more information, go to HRA Participant Benefits. Flexible Benefit Plans
Participation in employer sponsored flexible benefit plans (flexible spending accounts and transportation benefits), is easy. Sterling offers healthcare FSAs, dependent care FSAs, and transit and parking benefits. Employees contribute to these accounts through payroll redirection, allowing them to save tax-free money to pay for qualified expenses. For more information, go to FSA Participant Benefits.
Premium Only Plans (POPs)
Employers must also set up a Premium Only Plan (POP) for employees to participate. This simple addition to an employer's health insurance plan can also have significant advantages for employee participants. For more information, go to POP Participant Benefits.
