Director of Sales

Description

Responsible for the sales and revenue targets in various markets nationally as part of our company expansion. Manages the broker, agent, consultant and TPA partner channels to generate sales that meet annual business plans. Implements tactics to assure membership growth and plans key strategic initiatives to support the sales channel. Acts as a trusted advisor to brokers, consultants and employer groups. A consultative and technical selling approach is required.

Experience/Attributes

  • A record of increasing responsibility and success in sales
  • Deep relationships with consultant channel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works collegially and participates with team
  • Good project management skills
  • Understand sales planning and reporting
  • Demonstrate knowledge of California market
  • BA/BS in marketing, sales or related field
  • Minimum 5 years direct experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the insurance or related industry, products and services
  • Current health, Life agent license preferred
